The greatest Oktoberfest in Indiana. 40 years in the making. Located in the beautiful German Park at 8600 S. Meridian Street. Closest thing to the real festival in Munich, Germany. Plenty of excellent German food, German bier, German music, German dancing and German gemütlichkeit. Two stages for music (one German and one pop/rock) and dancing. There is plenty of entertainment for both adults and the younger set. For the kids we have a strolling magician, a booth for them to get their faces painted, and we even have a “Root Beer Garten”. So we are definitely kid friendly.
The festival starts at 4:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 4th and continues until 10:00 P.M. This schedule is maintained through Saturday. On Sunday the gates open at 1:00 P.M. and stay open until 6:00 P.M. So you’ll have plenty of time to hurry home, pop open a frosty beer, lean back in your recliner, turn on your TV and prepare to watch the Indianapolis Colts season opener with the Denver Broncos and Peyton Manning. The game doesn’t start until 8:30 P.M. Indianapolis time. We’ve tried to think of everything.
Admission is only $5.00 per person. On Thursday only only $5.00 for an entire car. And on Family Sunday, only $5.00 for the entire family. Children 12 and under get in free! German-American Klub members get into Oktoberfest at no charge. Actually, members of ANY German Organization get in free. Just show your membership card at the gate. One admission per card. Pets (with the exception of service dogs) are NOT allowed. Sorry!
